Canada drops opening men's field hockey match to Germany
Moritz Furste and Niklas Wellen each scored a pair to put Canada in last place in Group B

The Canadian men's field hockey team lost its opening match against Germany 6-2 on Saturday in Group B action.
Moritz Furste and Niklas Wellen each scored twice for the Germans.
Canada fell behind 2-0 early, with Furste Wellen opening the scoring in the fourth and sixth minute, respectively.
Mark Pearson put Canada on the board in the 11th minute, beating German goalkeeper Nicolas Jacobi.

—@CBCOlympicsMathias Muller restored Germany's two-goal advantage three minutes later, and Linus Butt gave the German side a 4-1 lead going into halftime.
The teams traded goals in the third quarter, with Furste and Keegan Pereira finding the back of the net.
Wellen scored the lone goal of the fourth quarter, and the Germans would lock it down from there, frustrating the Canadian side.
Four teams from each of the two six-team groups will advance to the quarter-finals.
Canada's next match is against Argentina on Monday, while Germany faces India.
