Canada's premier canoers and kayakers are currently in Gainesville, Ga., with several Olympic berths at stake.

Mark de Jonge is not resting on his laurels from the 2012 Summer Games in London. The Olympic bronze medallist in the men's K1 200-metre event is hard at work ahead of his qualification heats on Saturday.

De Jonge, who won a gold in the K1 200 and bronze in the K2 200 events at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, is featured in the Canadian Olympic Committee's "Ice in our Veins" campaign in anticipation of his qualification.

However, nothing is set until the boats hit the water this weekend, something de Jonge appears to be aware of.
