It finally, finally happened. And if it was 2009, it might actually live up to the hype.

Harsh? Maybe. The long-awaited superfight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will most certainly shatter Pay-Per-View records and make both men a boatload of cash.

But opinions on what they’ll actually deliver in the ring vary. The pair’s combined age will be 74 on fight night (Mayweather 38, Pacquiao 36). There is also a general consensus that their better days are behind them.

Nobody can deny that Pacquiao and Mayweather represent the absolute very best in their sport in this generation, and that alone may be enough to put this fight, set for May 2 in Las Vegas, over the top, as each fighter serves up one final showstopping performance. It’s time for you to have your say on “The Most Anticipated Event in Recorded Human History (Maybe).” Will the superfight be an unmitigated disaster, or a classic that will transcend space and time?
