Owen Nolan will be unavailable to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday when they play one of his former teams, the San Jose Sharks.
The power forward was put on injured reserve Monday with a lower body injury and is ineligible to play for at least one week.
Nolan has played in five of Minnesota's 10 games but missed the past two, and will have his roster spot taken by centre Krys Kolanos.
The 36-year-old Nolan, who was with the Sharks from 1995 to 2003, has one goal and four points with the Wild.
Minnesota remains without fellow forward Marian Gaborik, also nursing an unspecified lower-body injury.
Gaborik, 26, has battled a variety of ailments to leg muscles throughout his career in Minnesota and is in the final year of his contract.
