The Bachelorette: World Cup of Hockey edition

Team Sweden's dapper duds at the World Cup of Hockey fan village in Toronto had Twitter likening them to candidates on The Bachelorette. Which got us thinking.

Who do you think would win The Bachelorette: World Cup of Hockey?

Although the Distillery District's fan village in Toronto welcomed all World Cup of Hockey teams, there seemed to be only one team that fans were talking about.

Team Sweden swept Twitter fans off their feet looking dapper in full suits and ties.

Some were so smitten by the team's appearance they could have easily mistaken the professional hockey team for "The Bachelorette" candidates.

Which got us thinking: what would "The Bachelorette: World Cup of Hockey edition" look like? Although some of these candidates are already married, here's a hypothetical list of our roster for our version of "The Bachelorette:"

1. Team USA: T.J. Oshie "The Nice Guy"

No surprise that fan favourite T.J. Oshie wins the "nice guy" vote.

Cuddling with his fur-baby? He may even be in the running for the first rose.

2. Team Finland: Leo Komarov "The Bad Boy"

Remember when Leo Komarov faced a hefty fine of $40,000 for two traffic violations and two instances of fraud in Finland? These headlines from July 2014 earn him top spot in our "bad boy" column.

3. Team Canada: Brent Burns "The Quirky One"

Who wouldn't want Brent Burns on a reality TV show? With the perfect combination of peculiar and cool traits, the Canadian could be the show's fan favourite.

4. Team Russia: Alexander Ovechkin "The Comedian"

There's no explanation needed for this one. It's safe to say there are many great memories of Ovie that have made us laugh.

5. Team North America: Sean Monahan "The Boring One"

Sean Monahan was on North America's initial roster but he wasn't given a rose and was sent back. Maybe he was deemed "too boring" to play.

Just kidding, but maybe there's some truth to that theory based on this Twitter account:

6. Team Sweden: Henrik Lundqvist "Mr. Perfect"

Hanging out with royalty and doing work for charity. Need we say more?

7. Team Czech Republic: Michal Jordan "The Poser"

There's only one Michael Jordan in the world and Michal Jordan, you ain't foolin us.

8. Team Europe: Anze Kopitar "The Small Town Boy"

Everyone loves a small-town boy and Anze Kopitar fits the description perfectly after helping the L.A. Kings win their first ever Stanley Cup and bringing it home to Slovenia.
