Henrik Sedin will replace the injured Henrik Zetterberg as Sweden's captain for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey.

Swedish team officials say Sedin's twin brother, Daniel, will be the alternate captain in the Sept. 17-Oct. 1 tournament in Toronto.

Both Sedin brothers play for the Vancouver Canucks. Henrik is the captain of the NHL team, and Daniel is an alternate captain.

Zetterberg, of the Detroit Red Wings, was ruled out because of a knee injury during off-ice training.

He was replaced in Sweden's roster by Mikael Backlund of the Calgary Flames.
