St. Louis Blues defenceman Robert Bortuzzo has been suspended four games for cross-checking Nashville's Viktor Arvidsson in Saturday night's game. The Predators forward is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks with a lower-body injury.

St. Louis Blues defenceman Robert Bortuzzo has been suspended four games without pay for cross-checking Nashville Predators forward Viktor Arvidsson during the first period of Saturday night's game.

The Predators say Arvidsson will miss four to six weeks after hurting his lower body as a result of the cross-checks.

The Predators provided the update on Arvidsson's injury Sunday.

Arvidsson was cross-checked by Bortuzzo at 6:08 of the first period with the Blues defenceman given only a two-minute penalty. The Predators won the game 4-2.

St. Louis Blues defenceman Robert Bortuzzo has been suspended four games for cross-checking Nashville Predators forward Victor Arvidsson, who is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.

The NHL announced the four-game suspension on Sunday. Considered a repeat offender under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, Bortuzzo will forfeit $67,073 US.

Arvidsson had an assist but played only 4:15 due to the hit.

Nashville hosts St. Louis on Monday night.
