Scott received no penalty
San Jose Sharks tough guy John Scott is drawing criticism again. In the second period of Monday night's game between the Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks, the 32-year-old forward knocked out Tim Jackman.
No penalty was called on the play, but Jackman laid on the ice for quite some time following the punch. Jackman left the game and did not return.
There is no word yet from the NHL's Department of Player Safety. Multiple reports claim that the play is being looked at.
Told by league source that @NHLPlayerSafety is still reviewing John Scott incident. No decision yet on any hearing.
