The star defenceman was on hand as a team picture was taken at the Bell Centre on Monday morning but did not take part in practice. Subban was carried from the ice on a stretcher after a collision with teammate Alexei Emelin on Thursday against Buffalo.
He was released from hospital the next day with what the team said was a "non-serious" neck injury.
"He's still day to day, still getting treatment," said Therrien.
Centre Lars Eller, who missed a game Saturday night with an illness, skated on his own but won't be ready to play Tuesday night against the visiting Florida Panthers.
Defenceman Nathan Beaulieu, out since Feb. 23 with a suspected right knee injury, skated with the team. Therrien said Beaulieu should be back in the lineup sometime this week.
