The Florida Panthers will find out just how lucky they are on Monday.

Florida has the greatest odds of winning the NHL's Draft lottery, a weighted system to determine the order of selection for the first 14 picks of the league's amateur draft on June 30.

The lottery draw will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. ET, with all 14 NHL teams that missed the playoffs eligible to take the first overall selection.

In previous years, the lottery-winning team could move up no more than four slots in the draft order. This year, the winning draw will draft first overall, with the remaining 13 teams slotted in reverse order of their regular-season point totals.

Florida has a 25 per cent chance of winning the draw, followed by the Colorado Avalanche (18.8 per cent) and the Tampa Bay Lightning (14.2 per cent).

The Calgary Flames have the best odds of any Canadian team with a 6.2 per cent shot at the top pick. The Edmonton Oilers have a 4.7 per cent chance, while the Winnipeg Jets sit only at 0.8 per cent.

Edmonton had the first overall pick the past three years.
