No Canadian teams in NHL playoffs makes for very sad internet

It's official: no Canadian NHL teams have made it to the 2016 playoffs, and fans are very, very sad about the whole thing.

If you haven't already heard, for the first time in 46 years there will be no Canadian teams in the NHL playoffs.

For many Canadian fans, it really is too late now to say sorry.

Some found a sense of relief in knowing they wouldn't have to wait to be disappointed.

While others found solace knowing that Canada would still have some playoff presence.

A few people were concerned about the business side of the equation, while others just flat-out blamed Gary Bettman.

And younger fans dared to ask the question everyone was thinking.

Consensus? It's a sad day to be Canadian. Like, M.J. crying sad…

With no Canadian teams in the playoffs what will you watch instead?
