No Canadian teams in NHL playoffs makes for very sad internet

It's official: no Canadian NHL teams have made it to the 2016 playoffs, and fans are very, very sad about the whole thing.

If you haven't already heard, for the first time in 46 years there will be no Canadian teams in the NHL playoffs.

For many Canadian fans, it really is too late now to say sorry.

Some found a sense of relief in knowing they wouldn't have to wait to be disappointed.

No Canadian teams in the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NHL?src=hash">#NHL</a> playoffs means that we all get to be disappointed now instead of over the next six weeks.
