Jean Béliveau honoured before Canadiens-Wild game

Montreal Canadiens legend Jean Béliveau was honoured with a moment of silence and video tribute before the game between the Habs and Minnesota Wild Wednesday night Xcel Energy Center.

Montreal Canadiens legend Jean Béliveau was honoured with a moment of silence and video tribute before the game between the Habs and Minnesota Wild Wednesday night Xcel Energy Center.

The Hall of Famer died Tuesday at the age of 83.

All Canadiens players wore a No. 4 sticker on their helmets.

Montreal would go on to lose 2-1 to the Wild.

The team announced that a bronze statue of Béliveau will be on display across from the Bell Centre's main entrance through Saturday. Béliveau 's body will lie in state at the Bell Centre on Sunday and Monday. His funeral is scheduled for Wednesday.
