Hockey legend recovering from strokes
Hockey legend Gordie Howe is reportedly doing well enough in his recovery from multiple strokes that he's expected to attend a public event in Saskatoon in February.
John Fraser of the Sports for Saskatoon Media Group tweeted that Howe's son Marty said his father is "walking under his own power and is 'expected' to make his final public appearance Feb 6th in Saskatoon at the Kinsmen Sports Celebrity dinner."

—@JohnCJWWGordie Howe, 86, who suffers from dementia, had a serious stroke in late October and another in early November, according to his family.
He was rushed to hospital in Lubbock, Texas on Dec. 1 after he was unresponsive for 30 minutes. The family thought he had suffered another stroke but tests later showed the four-time Stanley Cup champion was dehydrated.
Howe was released from hospital and is staying with his daughter Cathy.
He has lived with his children since the death of his wife, Colleen, in 2009.
