Fans react to Canada's elimination at the world juniors
Canadians sent packing after 6-5 loss to Finland
Canadian fans came into this world junior hockey championship with high hopes. They won the 2015 championship on home soil and looked to have a vastly talented team heading into this tournament.
But after they were eliminated on Saturday at the hands of host Finland with a 6-5 loss in the qurter-finals, and it sunk in that Canada will not be playing for a medal. In fact, it's the first time in 18 years they've missed the semifinals.
Here are some reactions from around the Twitterverse:
When they lose our lives don't change one bit, so let's not change theirs by freaking out about it. #WJC2016 #TeamCanada

Canada's problems at #WJC2016: undisciplined, poor defensive structure, poor shot selection, bad rebound control, and Jake Virtanen.

Forget the refs, Finland was the better team. Canada was outplayed & out disciplined...couldnt control their emotions OR the game. #WJC2016
