Canucks take out Lightning to end losing streak

Bo Horvat scored the winner on a lucky bounce in the third period and Ryan Miller made 25 saves Friday as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2.

Alexandre Burrows, with a goal and an assist, Brandon Sutter and Luca Sbisa also scored for Vancouver (13-16-2), while Loui Eriksson and Markus Granlund each added two assists. Horvat also had an assist.

Victor Hedman and Cory Conacher replied for Tampa Bay (15-14-2), which is now just 2-7-1 over its last 10.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 21 stops in taking the loss.

Tied 2-2 in the third period, the Canucks caught a break on a power play. Granlund's attempted dump in caromed off Eriksson at the Tampa Bay blue line and deflected to a surprised Vasilevskiy. The puck bounced off the Lightning goalie and right to Horvat, who buried his ninth goal of the season over the glove at 7:46.

The goal was Horvat's first goal and second point in the last eight games.
