Live Blog: Answers to your questions on minor hockey
Our minor hockey experts answered your questions in a live forum on March 12
When it comes to minor hockey, there's no shortage of things to talk about.
For the past few weeks we've been swamped with your questions about the game. There have been so many inquiries that we decided to hold a live, interactive blog.
On Thursday at 1:00 pm ET, Our Game's Kristina Rutherford moderated a conversation with hockey fans and two special guests; Scott Oakman, the Executive Director of the Greater Toronto Hockey League, and Kim Mccullough, a regular columnist for Our Game and the Director of Total Female Hockey.
An impressive range of topics came up during the hour-long forum. We had questions about when to introduce bodychecking, whether or not coaches should be paid, dressing room etiquette for men coaching a women's team, and more.
There were a lot of comments on whether hockey camps are worth the cost, or whether kids should take the summer off and play other sports. Hockey fans really got into it.
That's why we'll be hosting another live forum on Thursday, March 19, at 1 p.m. ET, again on Our Game. We'll post details about how to get involved soon.
