Islanders ship Guerin to Penguins

Bill Guerin is on the move again, as the New York Islanders dealt the veteran forward to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.

In exchange, the Islanders receive a conditional fifth-round draft pick, that could become a fourth-round pick if the Penguins make the playoffs.

Guerin, who has 36 points in 61 games with the Islanders this season, had to waive a no-trade clause to facilitate the deal.

With Wednesday's trade, Guerin joins his eighth NHL club.

Guerin, 38, has 403 goals and 799 points during his 16-year NHL career that has seen him play for the New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, San Jose Sharks and the Islanders.

Guerin, who is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, won the only Stanley Cup of his career with the Devils in 1995.
