Following his release from the team last summer, Troy Westwood returned to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Monday as a part of their practice roster.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers' all-time leading scorer has returned to the fold following his release last summer.
Kicker Troy Westwood was added to the practice roster of the Blue Bombers on Monday.
The native of Dauphin, Man. spent 17 seasons with Winnipeg before the team released him in June 2008.
When he was released, the kicker said he wasn't going to announce his retirement but said that he didn't expect any other team to call.
Westwood, 42, holds 30 Blue Bomber records accumulated over a period of 278 games, including four Grey Cups.
He's the team's all-time scoring leader (2,741) and holds the CFL record for best career field goal percentage in the playoffs (85.7 per cent).
