Andrew Gillis was 28-of-45 passing for a career high 343 yards and two touchdowns for Toronto (2-3), which hadn't beaten Ottawa since the 1974 Yates Cup.

The Varsity Blues also hadn't beaten a top-10 team since a 21-15 victory over Waterloo in 1997.

Rookie running back Aaron Milton ran for 147 yards, 105 of them on a touchdown run that matches a Blues record for longest rush.

Ottawa's Brad Sinopoli threw for 451 yards and four touchdowns, while Cyril Adjeitey rushed for 153 yards and one TD, but it wasn't enough to keep the Gee-Gees (5-1) from their first loss of the season.

Elsewhere in the CIS, it was: No. 4 Calgary 33, UBC 16; No. 5 Western Ontario 46, Queen's 10; Alberta 40, No. 6 Regina 6; Wilfrid Laurier 36, No. 10 Guelph 2; No. 7 McMaster 64, York 6; St. Francis Xavier 37, Mount Allison 26; and Sherbrooke 34, McGill, 8.

At Toronto, Jordan Scheltgen scored a pair of touchdowns on short runs while Michael Prempeh, with a five-yard catch, and Paul de Pass, with a 24-yard reception, also reached the end zone for the Varsity Blues.

No. 4 Dinos 33, Thunderbirds 16

A Calgary, running back Matt Walter scored three of the Dinos' four touchdowns in a win over UBC.

Walter scored on a one-yard pass, a one-yard run and a 62-yard scamper as the Dinos (4-1) broke open a two-point game with 15 points in the final seven minutes of the fourth quarter.

UBC (1-4) put up better offensive numbers on the day, with 550 total yards to the Dinos' 532, but were unable to sustain drives.

Billy Greene had the lone touchdown for UBC on a 13-yard run with just four seconds left in the second quarter. He threw for 281 yards and added 132 along the ground to pace the UBC attack.

No. 5 Mustangs 46, Golden Gaels 10

At London, Ont., Donnie Marshall threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns as Western improved to 5-1 by thumping Queen's (1-4).

Andrew Thibadeau caught four passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns, while Jerimy Hipperson rushed for 110 yards and a TD for the Mustangs.

Justin Chapdelaine scored the lone TD on a one-yard run for Queen's.

No. 7 Mauraders 64, Lions 6

At Toronto, Ryan Kotar rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns as McMaster trampled York.

Kyle Quinlan added three touchdown passes for the Mauraders (4-2).

York (0-5) trailed 53-0 at halftime.

Golden Hawks 36, No. 10 Gryphons 2

At Waterloo, Ont., Evan Pawliuk went 13-for-17 passing for 151 yards with one touchdown as Wilfrid Laurier (3-2) upset No. 10 Guelph (3-2).

The Hawks scored on their first four drives of the game.

OUA leading rusher Nick Fitzgibbon was held to just 62 yards on 17 carries for Guelph.

X-Men 37, Mounties 26

At Antigonish, N.S., freshman Jordan Catterall caught three touchdown passes as St. Francis-Xavier (1-3) earned its first win of the season by beating Mount Allison (2-2).

Cory Wensley was 18-of-36 passing for 234 yards while Anthony Alix returned one of his own punts for a touchdown and booted three field goals for the X-Men.

Jake Hotchkiss was 25-of-40 passing for 356 yards and two touchdown passes to lead the Mounties.

Vert et Or 34, Redmen 8

At Montreal, Simon Charbonneau-Campeau hauled in nine catches for 223 yards and a touchdown as Sherbrooke pounded winless McGill.

William Dion kicked three field goals for the Vert et Or (2-3).

Austin Anderson was good on two of three field goals for McGill (0-5).
