Tillman set to become Eskimos GM: report

Eric Tillman will be the new general manager of the Edmonton Eskimos, according to the Edmonton Journal's website.

Eric Tillman will be the new general manager of the Edmonton Eskimos, according to the Edmonton Journal's website.

The report, citing two sources, says Tillman will replace former GM Danny Maciocia either later this week or early next week.

"Until a deal is concluded with a candidate for the general manager's position, there will not be confirmation from the Edmonton Eskimos," team president and CEO Rick LeLacheur told the Journal.

Tillman won three Grey Cup championships as GM with three different teams, including the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2007.

However, Tillman resigned from that post last January upon receiving a full discharge after pleading guilty to sexual assault.
