Super Bowl 50: Players to watch

Denver's Peyton Manning and Carolina's Cam Newton will take centre stage, but plenty more players are capable of deciding the biggest spectacle in North American sports. Here are the players to watch in Super Bowl 50.

QBs Manning, Newton take centre stage in NFL title game

When Super Bowl 50 kicks off Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET in Santa Clara, Calif., a pair of brilliant, and very different, quarterbacks will take centre stage.

Denver veteran Peyton Manning, perhaps the best of all time at football's most important position, will look to cap his record-setting career with a second championship before potentially riding off into retirement. Standing in his way is Carolina's mighty Cam Newton, who can complete his ascent to superstardom by capturing his first Lombardi Trophy.

The biggest spectacle in North American sports will be about more than the passers, though. Browse the photo gallery above for the scoop on the players to watch in the big game.
