Glenn, Armstead among CFL players of week

Three players from the Saskatchewan Roughriders and one from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats were named players of the week on Tuesday.

Kevin Glenn of the Ti-Cats, along with Roughriders' Jason Armstead, Stevie Baggs and Andy Fantuz were picked for the Gibson's Finest CFL Week 16 selection.

Glenn had a career-best performance in Hamilton's narrow loss to the Alouettes last weekend, becoming the first player to throw for more than 500 yards since Jason Maas threw for 540 yards in 2004 with the Edmonton Eskimos.

Armstead averaged 29 yards per return on five kick returns — 145 yards total — during a recent game against the Calgary Stampeders.

Baggs has won the Gibson's award three times this season, for weeks one and eight.

Fantuz caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Darian Durant, with only on minute to play, to set up the game-tying two-point conversion against the Roughriders Saturday.

This is the second time this season Fantuz has won the Gibson's award.
