On your way to Hamilton Pizza Pizza for Grey Cup tickets? Turn around!

Pizza Pizza locations in the Hamilton area on Thursday were offering a combo to walk-in customers that included tickets to Sunday's Grey Cup in Toronto, but the CFL quickly intervened and pulled the promotion.

The CFL has shut down a promotion that had Hamilton-area Pizza Pizza locations offering Grey Cup tickets as part of a $30 meal combo.

Fifteen pairs of tickets were being advertised as available at each participating location.

"Although it may have been made with good intentions, it didn't have proper authorization," CFL director of communications Paulo Senra told CBC Sports. 

"Once it was brought to our attention we had the promotion pulled immediately."

The promotion only added fire to the idea that Toronto is not a football town as ticket prices to the game between the Calgary Stampeders and Ottawa Redblacks have already been slashed.

There are still tickets available to the game on StubHub for as low as $75 as of Thursday, but those wouldn't have come with two dipping sauces.
