Calvillo leads 5 Alouettes on CFL all-star team
Quarterback Anthony Calvillo topped a list of five Montreal Alouettes selected to the CFL's offensive all-star team on Thursday.
Voting was conducted by the Football Reporters of Canada, the eight CFL head coaches, and fans from across Canada.
Joining Calvillo on the squad are centre Bryan Chiu, guard Scott Flory, receiver Jamel Richardson (98 catches, 1,287 yards, CFL-high 16 touchdowns) and slotback Ben Cahoon (CFL-high 107 catches, 1,231 yards, seven touchdowns).
Calvillo, Flory and Cahoon are also East Division finalists for the CFL's outstanding player, lineman and Canadian, respectively.
No Alouettes made the CFL's defensive all-star team, which was unveiled Wednesday.
Calvillo threw a league-high 43 touchdown passes this season to lead Montreal (11-7) to the best record in the division. The Als' attack topped the CFL in scoring (32 points per game) and total offence (429 yards per game).
