The Toronto Argonauts are getting linebacker Kevin Eiben back, announcing on Wednesday a three-year deal for the linebacker.

Eiben has spent all eight CFL seasons with Toronto and recorded 55 tackles last year during the team's disappointing 4-14 campaign.

"It's great to be back in Toronto for three more years," Eiben said in a statement. "I've really enjoyed the past eight seasons with the Argonauts and I'm looking forward to getting back in the hunt for another Grey Cup championship."

The Argos won the Grey Cup in 2004, the Vancouver native's first year as a starter.

Eiben has twice recorded more than 100 tackles, leading the league when he did so in 2004 and 2005.

He was drafted by Toronto in 2001 after playing collegiately at Bucknell University.
