Farrington, who only recently returned to high-level competition following a broken leg in February, won his previous titles (2012, 2013 and 2015) on two different horses (Voyeur and Uceko).
Carlsen, who hails from Toronto, posted the first clear round of the competition until Polle and Farrington matched the feat.
Carlsen, who was first to tackle the jump-off track, laid down a clean ride with a time of 54.72 seconds. Polle followed with a time of 48.52 but hit a rail in the combination, leaving the door open for Farrington who took home the win with a perfect run in 49.94.
Meanwhile, Juan Jose Zendejas of Mexico captured the TransCanada U25 Winning Round ahead of Carlos Hank Guerreiro, also of Mexico.
Sunday is the final day of the Spruce Meadows.
