Canadians keep PGA Tour hopes alive

Bryan DeCorso of Guelph, Ont., Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ont., Ian Leggatt of Cambridge, Ont., and Lee Curry of Kemptville, Ont., all qualified for the final stage of the PGA Tour's qualifying school on Saturday.

Four Canadians are one step closer to realizing their golfing dreams.

Bryan DeCorso of Guelph, Ont., Brad Fritsch of Manotick, Ont., Ian Leggatt of Cambridge, Ont., and Lee Curry of Kemptville, Ont., all qualified for the final stage of the PGA Tour's qualifying school on Saturday.

They will be in Winter Garden, Fla., from Nov. 28-Dec. 3 for the six-round final stage at Orange County National. More than 30 PGA Tour cards will be available there.

The top 20 finishers from each of the second-stage qualifying sites moved on.

DeCorso came out of the qualifier in Dade City, Fla., by finishing 16th after a final-round 73.

At Kingwood, Texas, Fritsch and Leggatt were each among the top 20. Fritsch tied for 15th after closing with a 71 while Leggatt tied for 19th after a 75.
