Rob Ford remembered by Canadian athletes

After receiving word of Rob Ford's death on Tuesday morning, several Canadian athletes shared their condolences for the former Toronto mayor.

Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford was saluted by members of the Canadian athletic community after his death on Tuesday morning. 

A lover of sports and a die-hard Argonauts fan, Ford was regularly spotted cheering on Toronto franchises from the stands.

Canadian athletes offered their condolences, including soccer sensation Kadeisha Buchanan, Blue Jays outfielder Dalton Pompey and Olympic sprint champion Donovan Bailey, all of whom are from the Toronto area.

Argos cornerback Matt Black highlighted Ford's polarizing antics while also paying his respects.
