On a light Sunday night in the world of sports, the eyes of many Canadians will be fixated on the Toronto Blue Jays' quest to remain alive in baseball's post-season.

The American League East champions, who trail Texas 2-0 in their best-of-five AL Division Series, visit the Rangers in a must-win Game 3 at 8:10 p.m. ET.

Forty-seven times teams have fallen behind 2-0 in the best-of-five division series, with only five having fought back to advance in the baseball post-season.

Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada, who owned the second-best earned-run average in the AL after the all-star break behind teammate David Price at 2.78, will take the mound against left-hander Martin Perez.

In the NHL, the lone matchup is an all-Canadian battle between the Montreal Canadiens and hometown Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m.

Both teams earned their second victories of the season on Saturday night, with Montreal (2-0-0) doubling up Boston 4-2 on the strength of two goals from Lars Eller and Alex Galchenyuk's three-assist performance.

The Senators also improved to 2-0-0 with a 5-4 shootout win over the division rival Maple Leafs in Toronto after frittering away a 3-0 second-period advantage.
