Raptors' Kyle Lowry named all-star reserve

Kyle Lowry will be joining his pal DeMar DeRozan for the NBA all-star festivities in New Orleans next month.

The Toronto Raptors guard was named a reserve for the Eastern Conference on Thursday, a week after DeRozan was named a starter to the Feb. 19 game. It is Lowry's third selection to the mid-season exhibition.

Also named East reserves are Indiana's Paul George, Cleveland's Kevin Love, Atlanta's Paul Millsap, Boston's Isaiah Thomas, Washington's John Wall and first-timer Kemba Walker of Charlotte.

In the West, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, the league's leading scorer, was named a reserve, along with Golden State's Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins, Memphis' Marc Gasol and first-timers Gordon Hayward of Utah and DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers.
