Steph Curry helps Warriors punch golden ticket to NBA Finals
Who's in the mood for some Curry?
What's for dinner, you ask?
Well, the Oklahoma City Thunder just had a taste of Stephen Curry with a side of 3's in Monday's Game 7 showdown against the Golden State Warriors.Â
The NBA record-holders with 73 wins this season were able to solidify their spot in the NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers after defeating the Thunder 96-88.
There was a lot on the line as Oklahoma City had a point to prove in not reaching the NBA Finals since 2012 when they lost to the Miami Heat. The Warriors, who are also the defending NBA champions, came into the game with hopes of keeping their title.Â
The question leading into Game 7 was nothing other than:
Who will it be? 🤔 <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Game7?src=hash">#Game7</a> <a href="https://t.co/9VAe1He8rz">pic.twitter.com/9VAe1He8rz</a>

But, as we all know, there can only be one winner and it was chef Curry and his Warriors that prevailed.Â

The unanimous selection for league MVP got cooking early in the game and gave life to Golden State fans:

The Thunder took the momentum at the beginning of Game 7 as they held a 13-point lead over the Warriors in the second quarter.
It wasn't until the end of the third that Curry and Golden State reversed the momentum and took their own 13-point lead.Â
It was magical moments such as these that put the Warriors on top:
Steph, high off the glass like Jesse Pinkman 😳 <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Game7?src=hash">#Game7</a> <a href="https://t.co/l1Ddalu0wM">https://t.co/l1Ddalu0wM</a>

While things were not going as planned for the Thunder.

With Curry having 36 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in Game 7, even Kevin Durant knew the truth:

Although, Warriors fans may have been looking for gold in the wrong places at the beginning of Game 7.

The defending champions were able to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals in a rematch of last year's championship.Â
