Steph Curry returns from injury, hits improbable last-second winner

Once again, Steph Curry left the crowd, and anyone watching on television, speechless.

With the clock winding down in overtime of a 118-118 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, Curry pulled up from way beyond the three-point line and nailed the game-winning shot to give Golden State a 121-118 victory.

The Golden State Warriors guard finished with 46 points. The winning shot was his 12th three-pointer of the night, tying the NBA single-game record. He also broke his own NBA record for threes in a season, setting the new mark at 288.

Curry, the league's scoring leader and reigning MVP, missed about six minutes of the third quarter with a left ankle injury that looked gruesome at first. He drove to the basket and rolled the ankle before Thunder guard Russell Westbrook stepped on it.

Warriors guard Stephen Curry went to the locker room with a left ankle tweak, got retaped, and returned to action in Saturday's game at Oklahoma City.

In his last four games, Curry has scored 36, 42, 51 and 46 points en route to four straight wins, and giving the Warriors a 53-5 record.

The Warriors, who were trailing 57-46 at halftime, are now 3-3 on the season when they trail by at least 10 points at the half. 

With the win, Golden State also became the first team to clinch a playoff spot in February since the 1987-88 Los Angeles Lakers, who went on the with the NBA championship.
