Virginia Tech guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker is the latest Canadian to declare he is entering the NBA draft.

The Toronto native tweeted on Sunday night he will sign with an agent and enter the NBA draft, forgoing his final two years of college.

The six-foot-five Walker helped Virginia Tech advance to the Sweet 16 this season. He led the Hokies in scoring this season, averaging 16.2 points while shooting 47.4 per cent from the field.

Alexander-Walker also averaged 4.1 rebounds.

Iowa State's Lindell Wigginton of Dartmouth, N.S., and Vanderbilt's Simi Shittu of Burlington, Ont., announced they are entering the draft last week.

The draft is June 20 in New York.
