The Toronto Blue Jays have won eight in a row, including a series sweep of the Yankees in New York over the weekend.

Needless to say, fans at Yankee Stadium weren't very excited to watch the home team get shut out in back to back matinees.

Unfortunately, All-Star outfielder Brett Gardner received the brunt of that frustration when a fan hurled back a ball that Jose Bautista blasted for a homer earlier in the inning.

Gardner appeared to be hit in the back, but remained in the game without any issue.

"I just wore it. Didn't even turn around," he said. "It wasn't like it was coming from the second row. It was a long ways away."

"I've got a hard head, so it's all good," he joked. "It's over with. Glad I didn't get hurt."

That fourth-inning run held up as the last scored by either team and Toronto claimed a 2-0 victory.
