Twitter looks for reason behind Blue Jays' Game 4 loss
Veteran's knuckleball ineffective from 1st pitch
R.A. Dickey may have only pitched 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday afternoon, but he was the topic of discussion as the night progressed.
Dickey was the Blue Jays' starter against Kansas City in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series, but from the minute he stepped on the mound his knuckleball didn't have the desired movement.

R.A. Dickey to the Royals today: "You can hit a HR. You can hit a HR. Everybody can hit a HR!" pic.twitter.com/vG2ebDNLFp

The Royals are just teeing off on Dickey

Kansas City scored five times in the first two innings, prompting those to tweet Dickey's day soon would be over, before Blue Jays manager John Gibbons ultimately pulled him from the game with two outs in the second.
Why is Dickey not pulled?

I still can't believe R.a. Dickey is still in the game!!! I thought he would be getting deported by customs at this point 😬 Smh #Postseason

Some Twitter users even went so far as to compare Dickey to Royals pitcher Johnny Cueto, who gave up six hits and eight runs in two innings of Monday's 11-8 loss to the Jays.
That must have been Johnny Cueto in R.A. Dickey's body today

@vodkalemonades Dickey is just doing his best Cueto impersonation. The hair is lacking, though.

R.A. Dickey will probably claim that the #Royals were stealing signs today.
—@DomahawkChop
Dickey continued to trend on Twitter until the end of the game, with the debate becoming whether or not Dickey was to blame for the 14-2 loss.
I blame dickey

@bruce_arthur Can't blame Dickey or the pitching. Not if those 2 runs scored holds. In no universe does 2 runs win this game.
—@GaryH_Mylazycat
I better not hear anyone blaming this all on Dickey. This whole team has been a let down today.
—@n_tobias
It wasn't really gonna matter what Dickey did today, once again #BlueJays bats being tamed by better pitching! #ComeTogether
