Kevin Pillar's Game 3 performance boosts Blue Jays

His performance in Game 3 of the AL Championship Series had Blue Jays fans promoting centre-fielder Kevin Pillar to Prime Minister.

Fans can't tell if centre-fielder is human, superhero, or alien

Toronto jumped out to a 9-2 advantage, only to hang on for an 11-8 decision over the visiting Royals, who lead the best-of-seven series two games to one. (Vaughn Ridley/Getty Images)

Kevin Pillar is obviously not Superman.

Twitter's just saying no one's ever seen him and Clark Kent in the same room.

Number 11 had a notable performance in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series, an 11-8 victory by the centre-fielder and his teammates over the visiting Kansas City Royals on Monday night. Pillar was trending on Twitter, with a number of his plays the topic of discussion.

It is hard to deny that Pillar's third-inning catch and slide did have a striking similarity to a superhero flying …

Twitter doesn't quite know what to make of Pillar, questioning the origins of the Jays outfielder.

No matter where Pillar comes from, the question seemingly becomes whether or not it's too late for him to run in the 2015 federal election.
