Chris Colabello suspension leaves internet conflicted

After news of Colabello's suspension broke fans took to Twitter to share their confusion, disappointment and disbelief.

Major League Baseball announced Friday that Blue Jays' first baseman Chris Colabello had been suspended without pay for 80 games for use of performance enhancing drugs.

The Blue Jays released a statement.

Colabello also released a statement saying that finding out he had tested positive was the "least expected phone call" of his life - to which Twitter responded: 

Some fans fear Colabello's suspension will be a detriment to the Jays' season.

Others found it hard to believe that Colabello was even using PEDs.

The disappointment was real for some.

While others took pity on him.
