Blue Jays cut 2013 all-star reliever Steve Delabar

The Toronto Blue Jays have released 2013 relief pitcher Steve Delabar. Over five seasons with Toronto and Seattle, Delabar posted a 15-9 record with 232 strikeouts, 92 walks and a 3.95 ERA.

The Blue Jays on Tuesday announced they have released relief pitcher Steve Delabar. The Toronto Blue Jays have released former all-star reliever Steve Delabar.

The team confirmed on Twitter that the 32-year-old right-hander was given his unconditional release after four years with the organization.

Delabar was an all-star in 2013, when he struck out 82 batters over 58 2/3 innings, compiling a 5-5 record with a 2.33 earned-run average and one save.

Over five seasons with Toronto and Seattle, Delabar posted a 15-9 record with 232 strikeouts, 92 walks and a 3.95 ERA.

The Blue Jays also released 40-year-old lefty Randy Choate.
