2 more podium finishes for Canadian jumpers
Henselwood and Special Ed win jump-off
Canada's Olympic show jumpers earned two more podium finishes at Spruce Meadows on Thursday.
Jill Henselwood of Oxford Mills, Ont., rode her Olympic gelding Special Ed to a jump-off victory in the $50,000 Akita Drilling Cup, while Olympic teammate Ian Millar of Perth, Ont., finished third.
Lauren Hough of the United States was second, while Olympian Eric Lamaze of Schomberg, Ont., finished fifth.
It's the second straight promising day for Canadian Olympic jumpers at Spruce Meadows.
Lamaze won two events on Wednesday, while Millar earned a silver medal and Mac Cone of King City, Ont., claimed a bronze.
"Everybody's producing and competitive," Henselwood said of her Olympic teammates. "We are coming together as a team, sharing information more than we would as individuals."
Earlier Thursday, Calgary's John Anderson came second behind Rich Fellers of the U.S. in a jump-off in the $35,000 Pengrowth Cup
