Debra Komar on The Bastard of Fort Stikine

For over two decades, Debra Komar was a forensic scientist who travelled the world investigating war crimes and testifying in tribunals for the United Nations. Debra is now spending her retirement solving historical Canadian crimes using modern-day forensic research.

"In The Bastard of Fort Stikine, I solve the unsolved murder of John McLoughlin, Jr., which occurred 173 years ago at Fort Stikine, the Hudson's Bay outpost in Alaska. What's interesting about this case is that essentially there are two different versions that have been passed down through history."
