The Current

Meet the ground warriors of Eglinton-Lawrence

With less than a week to go before election day, it's the ground war that's now all important. We have embedded our producers with the volunteers hitting the streets to identify and solidify the vote. Today, we introduce you to the ground warriors pounding the pavement for votes.
Left to Right: Stuart McRae is a volunteer for the Liberal campaign to elect Marco Mendicino, Robin Martin is a volunteer for the Conservative campaign to elect incumbent Joe Oliver, Stefan Ferraro is a volunteer for the NDP campaign to elect Andrew Thomson.

As the election enters the final stretch, three of The Current's producers have embedded themselves in one of the most tightly fought ridings -- Toronto's Eglinton-Lawrence.

It's a riding where, just like many others across the country - each vote is precious.

Join us Tuesday to follow these volunteers in the homestretch to get the vote out.

On Tuesday, our producers will give you exclusive access to the real ground warriors of this campaign:  the volunteers. You'll hear as they make their last ditch attempts to get out the vote - and help change the course of history.

And our trio team will be with those same volunteers on election night as the results come in... and as they see whether their tireless campaigning has paid off and helped get their candidate and party elected.
