NDP Alberta victory shakes up federal election predictions

In the wake of the provincial NDP's sweep to power in Alberta, political analysts are trying to decipher how that win - and the provincial Conservative party's massive loss - will influence the federal election expected in October. Today we convene three strategists to look at how the West can be Won.

After a historic win for Rachel Notley and the Alberta NDP, her federal colleagues in Ottawa celebrated by breaking out in song. Turning the long Tory-blue province a bright shade of NDP-orange is a symbolic boon for the federal party.... but it remains to be seen how it could affect the upcoming national vote.
