Mike Duffy's lawyer steals the show at trial
Journalist Nicholas Köhler who is covering the Duffy Trial for Macleans, says it has been full of drama and interesting storylines, but the star of the show is Duffy's lawyer Donald Bayne, skillfully using the Crown's witnesses against them.
Today is Day 21 of the trial of Mike Duffy.
The suspended senator has pleaded not guilty to 31 charges of fraud, breach of trust and bribery related to expenses he claimed as a senator... and later repaid with money from the prime minister's former chief of staff, Nigel Wright.
We spoke with the CBC's National Affairs Editor Chris Hall on April 7th, the day the trial began.
Now we're checking in to get a sense of what has unfolded since then.
