- Ontario's provincial government is shaking up the math curriculum after fewer than half of Grade 6 students met the standard last year. We're asking teachers whether "going back to basics" adds up.
- Over the summer, we've been listening to some of CBC's best podcasts. Today, we're airing the last instalment of The Band Played On, based on an award-winning investigation by the CBC's Julie Ireton. The podcast looks at a shocking story of sexual abuse at an Ottawa high school, sharing the stories of victims and asking why warnings were ignored — even when those red flags came from students, parents and teachers.
- James Avramenko is calling one of his Facebook friends every week — to tell them he's defriending them online. He tells us why he's hoping those phone calls will move those online friendships back into the real world.
