After months of silence, Nigel Wright has spoken.  But in the wake of his now complete testimony, there are questions about whether Stephen Harper's former chief of staff's words have caused cracks in the once solid façade of Conservative loyalty.

Mike Duffy trial: 7 things we learned from Nigel Wright's testimony

Wright faced days of intense cross-examination from Mike Duffy's lawyer - about the deal to write a $90,000 cheque to pay off Duffy's Senate expenses, about who knew what and when.

But does anyone really care?

We convened a panel to speak to the impact of the Duffy trial on voters:

  • Rosemary Barton is the host of CBC's Power and Politics, and she's been at the trial.  She was in Ottawa.
  • Hannah Thibedeau is a CBC parliamentary reporter on the campaign trail with Stephen Harper and that means we've reached her at her hotel in Toronto.
  • Gerry Nichols is a communications consultant who writes a regular column in the Hill Times.  He also worked with Stephen Harper when they were both at the National Citizens Coalition and he was in our Toronto studio
