In May of 2012 we did one of our most riveting, disturbing interviews. Shin Dong-hyuk was the only known person to have been born into a North Korean prison camp who escaped. Shin, and journalist Blaine Harden co-wrote a book about Shin's time in the prison camp, his escape and his life of freedom. Today we have an update to that story.

The UN General Assembly and the Security Council are expected to vote soon on referring the Commission's findings to the International Criminal Court where North Korean leader Kim Jong Un could be charged under international law for atrocities committed in the country's political labor camps.

Since the UN report has been released, the North Korean government has worked hard to discredit defectors - including Shin. And just this week - North Korea released evidence that contradicts Shin's belief that his entire family was dead.

Blaine Harden is the co-author of Escape from Camp 14, One Man's Remarkable Odyssey from North Korea to Freedom in the West. He joined us from Seattle to tell us more about this story.

Listen to our interview with Shin Dong-hyuk, the only person known to have been born in a North Korean prison camp and escape to tell the world about it.
