The television series Treme depicts a post-Katrina New Orleans filled with energetic people anxious to rebuild, but often frustrated at a perceived lack of help. Actor John Goodman plays a proud resident whose fury with the apathy rivalled Katrina's.
We gave the Last Word today to a little of his anger.
Here is the music we aired today, Hurricane Song by Allen Watty. It was released in 2005, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and sung from the perspective of a storm survivor stranded on a rooftop without any help.
