Alberta's next Premier may want to leave behind the legacy of his predecessor, but that doesn't mean Alison Redford won't be watching over him in his new office.
Redford recently chose the artist who will paint her official portrait, which will hang alongside those of the province's other premiers on the third floor of the provincial Legislature.
To some, it may seem too soon to commemorate the outgoing premier, who resigned earlier this year over an ongoing expense scandal.
Paula Simons, however, says Alberta must honour Redford just as it has other premiers, like Ralph Klein and Peter Lougheed.
