No matter what kind of music Alan Doyle is making, all the musician ever wants is to "give people a good night out." Over the years, he's succeeded with that, either as a member of the East Coast band Great Big Sea or on his own with his solo music.
Now back with his third studio album, A Week at the Warehouse, Doyle speaks to host Tom Power about his musical evolution and why, for this album, Doyle just wanted the "freedom to write songs whatever way I like them."
