Last week, q embarked on a field trip to Guelph, Ont., where host Tom Power took the stage at the River Run Centre to put on a live show for the Hillside Inside Festival.

Canadian singer-songwriter William Prince joined Power on stage on the release day of his brand new album, Reliever, for a special performance and conversation. The album is Prince's much-anticipated follow-up to his Juno-winning debut album, Earthly Days.

"You stay dedicated to the craft," said Prince about his career successes so far. "It's the concept of borrowing from your future happiness if you're not doing too well. That's where I was all those years ago, 15 years, 20 years ago. It took me 20 years to be an overnight success!"

Prince is on tour now until June.
